In Windows ME, I do a "Search - For Files or Folders ...", when I type a character in the "Search for Files or Folders named" box a list of previous entries appears. Is it possible to clear this list? I guess the same is true for the "Containing text" box.

Thanks

Hey, yes there is away, you have to goto registry. So goto >Start and type in "regedit" that should open the registry editor, once in there goto (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMru) then you should know how to get it from there. Then just delete the entrys you want.I hope i helped, this also helps in Windows XP.

Thanks for the info, but no joy unfortunately. The path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant was fine. However within, there was only:

(Default) - (Value not set)
DefaultSearchURL - ""

No sign of ACMru

I'm glad it did! However, please launch MRUBlaster and enter Settings .

Uncheck the option Windows Stream MRU. Click on the "?" if you need to know what this does.

Save settings and exit the Settings window and MRUBlaster.
