Looking much better now!

The two files that caught my eye are these

C:\Documents and Settings\Kirsty Margaret\Application Data\MIDIMAST.INI

C:\Documents and Settings\Kirsty Margaret\Application Data\wklnhst.dat

These may be legit files but they pull no results on any search engine that explain what they are!

You can locate them in that folder and right click each and Select properties and see if they are associated with anything legit on the system!

You can also have them scanned at these 2 sites

Other than that,I see little or nothing wrong!

Have you Installed a firewall yet?

Also another good program to assist you

SpywareBlaster:

Update Immediatly!

Please post back and update me as to how the system is running and if you notice anything else wierd!

All the files you uploaded were examined by some of the best in the Antivirus Buisness!

Each said,it was a nasty and intentional Hack and not of the usual type!

So please be careful with MSN and any other Messenger program as well be careful Opening Emails!

If I can track where the files came from,I will be more than happy to pass that info onto to you and the proper authorities!

Please post back with any comments and an update as to how the PC is running!

Well, I checked those two files on the sites and they didn't come up with anything, so I think they're okay...I can always delete them if you think that I should.

But, everything looks good, MSN is working well, and everything seems better.

Thank you soo much and I will definitely be much more careful in future when dealing with MSN and email :tazz:

I've installed a firewall and it's working well, thanks.

Thanks again

Great!!!! :tazz:

I wen back and looked through the logs to check everything out and I found some leftovers from LOP that should have allready been deleted but somehow got overlooked by me

C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\A96E65D193021FC9.job

C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\AA3053DA9187C692.job

C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\AEE054F09183C504.job

Dont really think they are much to worry about but why take chances now!

Go ahead and Scan them at the 2 sites used previously,so we are sure but I figure if you pull up the properties on those,it will be obvious!

I am so glad to hear that the PC is running better!!

As for the files, well we will just let them be for now!

I will be thinkin about ya when I go out to Northern Cali this Winter!!!

I have always wanted to see Seattle,I do like the Rain!

Now,should you ever need my assistance in the future, well you just come and finsd me!

I use the Same name with a Hotmail account on MSN Messenger,so you can find me that way as well!

Lets give this a few days or a week and see how things stick!

Are you getting any Port Scan Attacks from the firewall?

Again, please look through Metallicas Site and those 3 little black links in my signature and see what you can do to avoid this in the future!
