This is in regards to both Outlook 2000 and 2003: When the address book is open, the contacts are listed in alphabetic order by FIRST name. How do I sort by last name?
I noticed that in Outlook 2000 when I had my email setup for POP that I had a sort option under the 'VIEW' file menu but when it is configured for exchange all I have is 'OPTION' under VIEW which has no sort options.
In Outlook 2003 it doesn't matter how it is configured...I simply have no sort options at all.
I'm stuck.

For Outlook 2000 go to Start>Settings>Control Panel and open the Mail control panel. You should see an option that's named "Personal Address Book" in the window that opens. Select it and click on the Properties button below it. I can't remember which tab it's on, but one of them will have an option about 1/2 way down that will let you select how the names are sorted.

For Outlook 2003 I'm not sure how to do it, but it might be the same.
