My web browser now opens automatically on startup (but with my designated start pages), and then I get some sort of pop-up stating that "My computer may be at risk" and directs me to a "help"-type window with a bunch of stuff on what to do with spyware. There's a lovely note at the bottom saying that Microsoft doesn't necessarily endorse any of the removal tools listed...which is probably true, since I doubt they're removal tools in the first place.
