Internet exployer shutsdown after clicking on it. It will load my home page and rite before it is done loading, It will just go off. I don't have a problem with the connection. This computer also won't let me right click on my desktop, and bring up properties. I have run an antivirus and cleaned all viruses up. also adaware, and spybot. I also did and iefix which didn't work. This also effects it in safe mode. can anyone help? here is my hyjack log. I have to save on disk and use another computer to do this. Thanks

You are advised to temporarily DISABLE this Protection Program:
  • Ewido Guard
(Note: We will re-ENABLE it later after your system is all clean and malware free.)

Please download this from another computer then transfer to your PC.
  • Please download FixO.exe, then save it to a safe location where you can easily remember (eg.: C:\FixO)
  • Double-click FixO.exe, extract all files it contains in the same folder as with FixO.exe
  • Double-click FixO.bat, it will then generate a Log list
  • Please post in your next reply the log list it generated.
By this moment you will have your desktop working good now.
================================
Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files.

Run Ewido:
  • Click on scanner
  • Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK
  • When it asks if you want to clean the first file, put a check in the lower left corner of the box that says "Perform action on all infections" then choose clean and click OK.
  • When the scan is finished, click the Save report button at the bottom of the screen.
  • Save the report to your desktop
Close Ewido
  • Close all windows, open HijackThis then SCAN.
  • Post a NEW HijackThis Log, the FixO Log, and Ewido Log.
  • Please tell me how your system is working now.

Thanks KooL808 for the response. before you posted an answer for me, I ran ewido and spydoc in safe mode and that cured my ie shutdown problem. I will do the fixo.exe thing when I get home from work to fix my desktop. I also seem to have a problem in my control panel add/remove programs windows conponent. I get errors when trying to open. let me know what you think. Thanks for the help. :tazz:

spydoctor is a rogue application, read more information about it on the link I provided you earlier. You need to uninstall it. The recommended programs I gave you for this fix are the best out there and are legitimate. I will be waiting for your latest HijackThis Log results after performing exactly the instructions I provided earlier. :tazz:

I still can't bring my display through my desktop like before. also when I go to control panel- add/remove programs /windows conponets gives me the error (setup library desk.cpl could not be loaded, or function displayOcsetupProc could not be found. contact your system administrator. the specific error code is Ox7e) Then I press ok and it goes away. Here are all the logs you asked for.

Your HJT log looks clean, this must be system related lets try this:
1.) download http://www.dougknox...._file_assoc.zip
2.) unzip it to a location where you can easily remember
3.) locate the file then double-click cpl_file_assoc.reg, then agree with merge.

Tell me how your control panel and system works now.
