Hi guys hope you can help.
I finally got rid of Antivirus gold and the offending wallpaper to discover that I cannot open attachments from emails in outlook express. When I attempt to open the attachment, the computer times out on the command. I can still open attachments directly from my providers mail page. I also cannot do internet banking even though I can login and get as far as the balance page. I am sure it is just a setting. Can anyone help please?

As far as the outlook express goes you need to click on tools>options, then click on the security tab. IN here there will be a box with a "Do not allow attachments to be saved that could potentially be a virus." Uncheck this option and click apply and ok. You should now be ablke to save the attachment.

As for your second problem. Go to control panel the internet options. CLick on delete cookies, delete tempfiles put a check in the box and hit ok. Also clear history. Click security tab and click the default button, do the same thing for the privacy tab. Click on the content tab and clear ssl state. Click on the advanced tab and click on the reset defaults button. Click ok and restart the pc. Now try going to the secure site in question.

You are probably better off posting the HJT log in the HJT forum.

Thanks.
