Does anyone know of a way, or if it is even possible to have the pictures received in emails as attachments to be automatically shown. I have recently purchased office 2003 and it seem that Outlook is so security concious that it isn't possible :tazz: . Until now I have used Outlook Express and that shows pictures automatically. Any ideas?

Thanks,

ds.

Open Outlook, go to Tools>Options and head towards the Security tab. Click on the Change Automatic Download Settings button and set them however you want. There are several options.

This I have already set to download automatically (I have unchecked the "Don't download pictures or other content automatically in HTML e-mail." But this is not quite what I'm having trouble with. Ultimately what I am after is that I say you send me an email with a .jpeg attachment, in Outlook Express when you open that e-mail it automatically shows the .jpeg at the end of the message. I would like this to happen in my Outlook 2003. Any ideas?? Thanks...

Are you using the preview feature in Outlook, or do you open each message individually? 'Cause when I view a message in the preview pane, I can see a list of the attachments at the top under the To and From lines and when I open it it does the same. Are you wanting to actually see the picture that's attached, or just the jpeg icon with the filename next to it?

I would like to see the picture so that I dont have to open the message, then double click on the icon then choose to open it rather than save it, then wait for it to open. In Outlook Express it shows the picture automatically.Thanks. ds.

As far as I know that's not possible with Outlook, but I may be mistaken. Hopefully someone else can help you more, sorry.

Did you find your answer?  You sounded so frustrated

Also, if you figured it out would you mind sharing the answer.  I like to see photos right away
