Floppy drive gone

After making a repair installation of XP my floppy drive has disappeared(not physically but from alll menus).
Device manager says the device is working properly but it's not acessible from anywhere.
Anyone with a piece of advice,please? <_<

Try uninstalling the device in device manager and then reinstalling it. Let windows use the windows drivers for it.

Fast response,very appreciated!
Unfortunately,didn't help. Uninstalled and reinstalled,still same from device manager,device working properly,but still can't be found anywhere,my computer and windows explorer-nowhere in sight.

Try downloading a new driver from www.driverguide.com
