Acouple of days ago my buddy brought me his college aged daughter's laptop.
A Dell, or [bleep] as the case may be, Insperion 1150 that was doing all sorts of crazy things. After getting it to sync up to my home net work and cursing all the while i was finally able to load Spybot and Adaware Se. Now, apparently she has Norton internet security suite, but her boyfriend also loaded Mcaffe security center and they were both trying to run at the same time...gasp. On top of the multiple viruses that were having an electronic kegger all over this machine. I tried to unistall both Norton and Mcaffee but the installation logs are noware to be found so no go. I used spybots start up utility to disable both of them from loading but Mcaffee' privacy detector would still try to load and give me an error that would not go away....so i deleted all Mcaffe folders with Clean Disk Security set on the Gutmann 35 pass setting and laughed as i heard its little electronic death throws. After this I then encountered the ever wonderful MSBLASTER.exe virus. I went into safe mode and loaded Antivir and ran it and came up with 707 virus detections. (if you dont believe me I have the report). I then went to Housecall which found an additional 18 detections. Now after all this the machine seems to be working...as i am writing this with the laptop...but the Hijack this log still has a few oddities that i don't know what they are. Ne help?

I currently have Winpatrol and Kerio Personal Firewall running resident to help stave off the electronic onslaught...but I would like to clean it up

Ps.. I installed firefox but it won't open correctly...IE and Slimbrowser seem to work fine tho...
