Hi there. Ive been having a problem. Sometimes a click a folder, Windows Explorer crashes and I get this...

I currently havent click any of those two buttons (Usually if I do, my computer crashes) so I just put the message at the bottom right corner of the screen. And it seems to be working fine, just when the click the buttons makes it crash.

Did you install any codecs?

If so, is it correct that the folders your computer crashes on hold .avi or other movie files?

Furthermore it is not a good idea to have two AntiVirusprograms running resident on the same computer.
This by itself could cause conflicts.

Same applies (a bit less, but still) for two AntiSpyware programs running resident.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Yes, I have installed Codecs. And sometimes the folders that contain .avi files or other movie files crashes. But it doesnt happen to my picture folder as often as folders that contain .avi files. Though it does occur sometimes when I click on my pictures folder, it crashes.

OK. Look under Add/Remove Software and remove any Codecs that you find listed there.

Then reboot and let me know if that helps.

Ah currently it seems to work after i deleted the stuff in hijackthis. But im afraid when I shut down my computer, the problem will occur again. But If that does happen, ill remove the codecs. If it still doesnt work, ill ask for further assistence.
