One of our computers in our office is a Dell SmartStep 100D that was purchased in 2002. Within the last year, it was upgraded from Win98SE to Win2000Pro. I would like to upgrade the RAM from 128MB to at least 256MB. My question is, do I have to purchase the memory from Dell or can I just go to CompUSA?

Thank you! <_<

I also have another question - why can't I find out what processor this computer has? I checked the Device Manager and there isn't even a Processor category. When I do properties under My Computer, I don't see anything either.

Thanks!

You can buy the memory from your favorite source, you don't need to buy it from Dell.

Use this utility to identify the hardware in your system:
