It seems, whenever I run the only two games I really play, Ragnarok Online and Starcraft, whose recommended CPUs are 700mHz and 900mHz, respectively, my 2gHz processor runs hotter than [bleep], and ends up overheating and shutting down.

I've no idea why this happens. A while back, I had a problem with random shut downs due to a faulty fan, but the fan is fine and it seems like the processor simply runs too hot whenever these games are up.

Any solution?

is the fan working on the powersupply? is the case fan running? you may need to add aditional cooling to your system.

I don't know nottin about laptops at all, but im supposing they do have a heatsink. Try cleanin it with an artist paint brush. It might be dusty and not letting air in properly, althought I don't think that it would only overheat while playing games. Again, I'm not at all sure, possibly worth a try tho.

Any cpu heats up under load of any game really, what kind of temperatures is it are the abnormal or just high load temps, try running another peice of intensive software to see if it is as hot.
