I have a Nvidia GeForce3 vidio card and the fan doesn`t work. Would this be the reason for my computer shutting off when I`m trying to watch a movies or play game , burn CD/DVD(any think that require graphic)??? Can the fan be replaced?:tazz: AMD Athlon 2100

I have replaced fans on several video cards... including a geforce3. DO NOT run this card with a bad fan. You must replace it before powering up the computer again.

Yes, absolutely, your fan could cause your computer problems. If the gpu overheats, then crashes can occur... or the gpu can fry!
