Hi,

I was just wondering what the minimum/recommened amount of disk space is for XP (Home). I want a separate partition with only XP on it, but I want it to be small (yet speedy) so I have lots of room for other partitions (games, music, etc.).

I'm using a 60 GB hard drive in a laptop.

Thanks!

I would suggest using nothing smaller than 10 GB for your system drive. This will give you plenty of room for XP with all of its updates and for whatever other programs you install. It also leaves plenty of space for Temporary Internet Files and your My Documents folder. Anything smaller can run out of space rather quickly.
