For AMD i would always tend to go ABIT, MSI or DFI they have a better rep for AMD motherboards than asus although in that board they have apparently fixed alot of the problems there earlier attempts at AMD boards had, asus still have a very good rep for intel. I can tell you the ABIT and MSI boards overclock really well and the DFI really has to be overclocked to get the most out of it. It depends on the PSU you have now wether it will need to be changed the CD and cdburner should both work.

i just bought the same mobo from newegg for $160. it's only worth it if you want to do SLi, otherwise you can get the single pci-E for about $130.

All the cables you need to connect ANYTHING are in the box.

if ur looking for room to overclock i recommend msi, or dfi. but the a8n deluxe does provide provides plenty of manual overclocking options and also has presets for overclocking. i really wouldn't recommend using the presets if u know how to overclock.
