no detected virus/worm/malware, but does install a start up nag.

I've heard of it, but hadn't heard good or bad reviews of it. I installed the trial version out of curiousity, ran the trial install...if evaluates every program on your computer and makes a determination on whether it is current.

For example, I have ACT 6.0 and it points out there is a later version---which isn't much help since I do not wish to upgrade.

It evaluates drivers, but on this non-sp2 machine, it fills up the list with a lot of sp2 updates.

The trial prevents you from actually scrolling the list of out-dated apps and drivers, and exiting the BUY NOW screen exits the program.

In all, nothing this program told me was new....I know what is out of date, and what is not already.

One drawback, in my opinion, is it lists BETA versions as being newer and preferable to standard, current versions. I think this is trouble waiting to happen

well im at my grandparents for a month, and they run on XP, but the card they use (NVIDIA TNT) is only compatible to '98. they dont want to buy a new card OR move away from XP. ive searched all over the net and havent found a driver update that would fin the problem so I was hoping maybe there was one that I had overlooked in Version Tracker.

the people at Gateway said the card was probably fine, but that the screen was so dark because it's not compatible
