Your log is clean :tazz:

Here are some tips, to reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing the following applications:
  • Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
  • Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
  • How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
  • How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.
To protect yourself further:
  • IE/Spyad <= IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
  • MVPS Hosts file <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
  • Google Toolbar <= Get the free google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.
I also suggest that you delete any files from "temp", "tmp" folders. In Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" => "Internet Options" => "Delete Files" and select the box that says "Delete All Offline Content" and click on "OK" twice. Also, empty the recycle bin by right clicking on it and selecting "Empty Recycle Bin". These steps should be done on a regular basis.

Your log is clean  :(

The magic words I've been waiting for! Thanks man! :)

May I please ask a quick couple of questions before I offically stop bothering you? ;)

1) I still occasionally get a pop up stating: R2, eaccess violation.
It appears to me that my computer begins to slow down after ecieving this message.
Is this nothing to worry about?

2)I will take the preventative measures you specified. Should I keep the various other anti spyware stuff I have on my computer or will they happily coexist with spywareblaster etc?

3) I am sure I should probably re-hide my hidden files. I cannot find folder options under the tools menu though. Is it a problem to leave them unhidden?

4) You mentioned changing passwords, I havent done so yet. Is it still nessecary to change these?

I imagine you wont have time to answer these 4 possibly stupid questions, so in case I dont recieve a reply I'll say now - thanks Geeks! You guys are the greatest.

Rock on! :tazz:

1. Can you get a screenshot of this popup?
2. They should coexcist with what you have on there already.
3. You can hide them again if you want to do this look here http://www.xtra.co.n...1916458,00.html
4. Yes you need to change passwords the infection you had can and will steal passwords of the infected PC.

I think I got reinfected. :tazz:

And adware scan found a zillion problem objects. Btween that and Kapersky I seemed to have taken care of them all but just now my IE shut down much as it did before.
The only change I can think of is that I downloaded something called Picassa Hello in a vain attempt to post that image of the error message I was getting.

Here is the latest log, everything still ok?
