I RECENTLY ASKED ON THIS FORUM SHOULD I ALLOW GENERIC HOST PROCESS FOR WIN 32 I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS A NECCESSARY COMPONENT OF WINDOWS. AFTER ALLOWING THE PROGRAM ACCESS, I GET A POP UP FROM NORTONS TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE DETECTED A WORM. THEN NORTONS ASK ME TO PERMIT GENERIC HOST PROCESS OR BLOCK IT, I ALWAYS CLICK ALLOW BUT THE WINDOW CONSTANTLY COMES UP. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT I CAN DO TO STOP THE WINDOW FROM COMING UP AND ASKING ME TO PERMIT OR BLOCK THE PROGRAM. THANX IN ADVANCE

There are several maulicious programs that now use the generic host process to infect your system.

Post a HijackThis log in the malware board, and I'm sure someone will fix your problems for you.
