I RECENTLY ASKED ON THIS FORUM SHOULD I ALLOW GENERIC HOST PROCESS FOR WIN 32 I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS A NECCESSARY COMPONENT OF WINDOWS. AFTER ALLOWING THE PROGRAM ACCESS, I GET A POP UP FROM NORTONS TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE DETECTED A WORM. THEN NORTONS ASK ME TO PERMIT GENERIC HOST PROCESS OR BLOCK IT, I ALWAYS CLICK ALLOW BUT THE WINDOW CONSTANTLY COMES UP. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT I CAN DO TO STOP THE WINDOW FROM COMING UP AND ASKING ME TO PERMIT OR BLOCK THE PROGRAM. THANX IN ADVANCE :tazz: ;)

There are several maulicious programs that now use the generic host process to infect your system.

Post a HijackThis log in the malware board, and I'm sure someone will fix your problems for you.
