So far it is still working and I am able to delete History by going to
Tools, Internet Options and then click on Delete History and OK.

I do have Firefox downloaded and use them both.
Firefox all the time for Geeks and IE mostly for emailing although
I can now add color and graphics to Firefox email because of a
simple download recommended by 'Texas-Dalla.

Maybe I should start a thread and tell about it!

Thanks Rocky
Janie :tazz:

You can always delete history in IE by navigating to "C:\Documents and Settings\"your username"\Local Settings\History" and deleting everything in there by selecting them all with [ctrl + a] and pressing the delete key. To do this you must allow yourself to see hidden files and folders.

Just an update here.

History deletion is working every time on my Internet Explorer.
I simply go to:

TOOLS
INTERNET OPTIONS
DELETE HISTORY
APPLY AND OK

SO evidently ALL the settings are PERFECT.

Again, thanks to all that helped me get it set correctly.

I give computer lessons (basic beginner) and give each person an hour on my computer, to search the web. I have taught them how to delete history when they are finished.

Sincerely, :tazz:

Just wondering, are you really trying to delete history...because that won't do it. Give me 15 sec and I can find everything you've ever done on that PC. You need a wiping tool to cover your tracks (but even that won't do it fully). So, if you're trying to cover your tracks, a decent PC navigator can bypass your attempts not to mention any skill computer forensic investigator.

HmMm... have you tried going to the Internet Explorer browser and go to the Tools menu, then Internet Options... and then Advanced to Empty Temporary Internet files folder when browser is closed [ under the Security tab ]? Don't know if the problem will be resolved that easily, but it's just a thought. :tazz:
