I've done searches all over the internet and tried everything so far. Im hoping my issue is more specific and can be solved with someones help.

I usually hibernate my computer instead of a full shut-down at night. Today I turned it on after the first full shutdown in a while and windows would not boot at all. I ran the Recovery Console in which I ran CheckDisk. After a restart windows booted up but now I have no Taskbar, Copy/Paste ability in certain programs, System Restore and a variety of other issues.

I've tried going into Task Manager and ending "explorer" then restarting it with no effect. All attempts to fix the problem using a free registry cleaner have also not worked. Ive also used Registry Mechanic specifically along with multiple freeware programs.

I have ran Grisoft AVG free, Avast, and Ad-Aware programs.

Please any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

UPDATE to my issue!!

After some fiddling with the taskbar properties in the Control Panel I found that a small sliver of the Taskbar has appeared at the bottom of the screen. I tried adjusting the moniter to show this but this has not worked.

Still having issues though. When i minimize a window instead of taking its place insude the task bar it rests above the bar as a smaller bar. Like the old windows program (i forget which) I still have limited functioning with moving files on desktop.

Basically same problems as before except now i can see a small sliver of the bar.

Thanks.
