Hi,
This whole aurora abi company is very unethical ;) I wonder if their are lawsuits against them for the problems that they have caused?
And its also very sad they they refer you to their own website to download an uninstall program by having you drop your firewall. Thats SO Wrong!
I've tried to use ewino and the nail.exe fix in the safe mode.
It worked out for a while but the ads are back. I would appreciate if someone could guide me through this (since my knowledge with computer troubleshooting and fixing this problem has be exhausted).
Thank you,
Tony :tazz:

Hi,
Excal
Thank you for your quick response ;)
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I should of be more detailed of what I ran already. I'm still getting this Wareout screen (It reads unregistered on the top left hand side) when I restart my cpu. Must be some spyware scanner?
Ran Cleanup!
Ran Ad-ware SE.
Ran Ewido three times.
If you need the Ewindo Report just let me know.
Here is my Hijack This log.
Thanks,
Tony :tazz:

Download rkfiles http://skads.org/special/rkfiles.zip and unzip the contents to a new folder on your desktop
  • Please click this link to download Silent Runners.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done yet, just let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt "All Done!", double-click on the new text file on the desktop and copy that entire log and paste it here.

  • NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.
For some time it will look like nothing is happening. Just keep waiting.
  • Once it's done it will create a log. A window will come up telling you when it's saved. Please post that log here
Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also.

REBOOT TO SAFE MODE. This tool MUST be run in safe mode!

Once in safe mode, double click rkfiles.bat file to run it. It will scan for a while, so please be patient. Wait until the DOS window closes. The log file will be C:\log.txt

Reboot back to normal mode and post the contents of log.txt in your next post.

Hi tony,

Before you do anything else, please create a folder for HijackThis and put it in a permanent folder (like C:\HJT) instead of the Temp folder. This is required because HijackThis will create backups and we don't want them to be deleted

Go to Start > Run - type:

regedit

Click OK.

When you get into the registry, on the leftside, click to highlight My Computer at the top. Then go up to "File > Export" Make sure in that window there is a tick next to "All" under Export Branch. Leave the "Save As Type" as "Registration Files", then save it as backup to a convenient location. Remember where you put it (I don't recommend putting it on the desktop) This is so the registry can be restored to this point should anything be deleted by accident or something else happens. It may take a minute. Just let it go until it's done.

DOWNLOAD PROGRAMS

Download and install CleanUp! Here*NOTE* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders and does not make backups.
We will use this program later.

THE FIX

Please read this post completely, it may make it easier for you if you copy and paste this post to a new text document or print it for reference later.

1. Click this link to be sure you can view hidden files.

2. Ensure you are NOT connected to the internet.

3. Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

4. Launch Notepad, and copy/paste the box below into a new text file. Save it as fixme.reg (make sure that Save as Type is set at "All Files") on your Desktop. Ensure there is no space at above REGEDIT 4.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\]
"WareOut"=-
"pizda"=-
"panel_its"=-

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\]
"System"=-

Locate fixme.reg on your Desktop and double-click on it. You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?". Answer "Yes" and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

5. Open up and run Ewido:
  • Click on scanner
  • Click Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • During the scan when it ask if you want to clean the first file, put a check in the lower left corner of the box that says "Perform action on all infections" then choose clean and click OK
  • When the scan is finished, look at the bottom of the screen and click the Save report button.

What's up
Excal
Here is my HJT(current) and Ewido post from the safe mode.
For some reason I could not locate the csoqn.exe and strings.exe files?
The ActiveScan download seems to be not working?
Thank you, :tazz:

Excel,
Everything is running great ;)
Thanks for your help. I have a lot of respect for anyone that has the talent and patience to work with these programs. If you need any advice or assistance with home theater or car audio I would be more than happy to help you. I have over 6 years of professional experience in these fields. :tazz: I guess this is the least I could do for helping me.
I would also like to make a donation/tip but do not use paypal.(Not a fan of the company)
Is their an address I could send it to?
Thanks again for the great work,
Tony

No worries Tony ;) Enjoy your summer.

Great job, it appears your computer is clean :tazz:

Ensure you rehide your “hidden files and folders” back to the way they were.

Now that your system is Malware Free, it is important to reset your system Restore. Click Here to learn how to.

Might I suggest the following Free Spyware programs, if you don't already have them, for added security, you can download them at the following links. These programs work great for detection:

Ad-aware SE
Spybot S&D
Microsoft Anti-Spyware

If you are unhappy with your current antivirus and want to replace it or if you dont already have one, I suggest one of these free programs:
*Note - do not use more than one anti-virus program as it will more than likely cause conflict.

AVG
Avast
AntiVir

The following free programs are great for prevention:

SpywareBlaster 3.4
Spywareguard
IE/Spyad

A Firewall is a must! Here are 3 good free versions:
(do not have more than one firewall running on your system)

Sygate
Kerio
ZoneLabs

There are other options other than Internet Explorer for a browser, which some say have better security. Two of them are:

Firefox
Opera

If you decide to keep Internet Explorer, This site is a great source for tightening up security on It's settings.

Make sure that you keep your Operating System and IE updated with the latest Critical Security Updates from Microsoft...they usually come out once a month, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Be sure and give the Temp folders a cleaning out now and then as well, Make sure after you clean your Temp files to empty out your Recycle bin as well.
For ease use the following program:

Cleanup
Run "Cleanup" and when it has finished, Reboot

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided. Also read How I got Infected

Hi,
Excel
Sorry to bug you :tazz: but for some reason I have these pop-ups and this
time it doesn't seem to be aurora, it acutally seems worse. I though that I have a spyware protection program on here but, maybe its not good enough.
Here is my hjt log and ewindo log.
Thank you for your time ;)

Welcome back. U have a whole brand new infection ;)

Having anti-spyware programs is not the only prevention.. Being very careful where you surf is also a must :tazz:

Ok, lets see what we can do here.

Before you do anything else, please create a folder for HijackThis and put it in a permanent folder (like C:\HJT) instead of the Temp folder. This is required because HijackThis will create backups and we don't want them to be deleted

DOWNLOAD PROGRAMS

Download about:buster by RubbeRDuckY Here.
Download CWShredder Here.
Download SpSeHjfix Here.
Download and install CleanUp! Here

Save programs to your desktop for easy access, Please do not run any of the programs unless told to do so.

Unzip SpSeHjfix to its own folder (ie c:\SpSeHjfix)

Run the CleanUp! installer. You dont need to do anything with it right now.

Update About:Buster
  • Unzip the contents of AboutBuster.zip and an AboutBuster directory will be created.
  • Navigate to the AboutBuster directory and double-click on AboutBuster.exe.
  • Click "OK" at the prompt with instructions.
  • Click "Update" and then "Check For Update" to begin the update process.
  • If any updates exist please download them by clicking "Download Update" then click the X to close that window.
  • Now close About:Buster
Update CWShredder
  • Open CWShredder and click I AGREE
  • Click Check For Update
  • Close CWShredder

  • Save the report to your desktop
Close Ewido

5. Now run CWShredder. Click I Agree, then Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

6. Close all browsers, windows and unneeded programs.

7. Open HiJack and do a scan.

8. Put a Check next to the following items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = res://C:\DOCUME~1\Tony\LOCALS~1\Temp\se.dll/space.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = about:blank
