Hello......I posted another problem under the Windows XP section. That problem was caused by my attempt to fix this one.....I have downloaded a game called Jardinains. Anyone hear of it? Supposed to be an excellent game! But I can't attest to that because when I try to open it, it tries, my screen goes black, then comes back on ....then my screen goes black again and my icons come back slowly on my desktop and the message "Error: Memory Access Violation" appears. I have updated my DirectX (one suggestion) and done all the things recommended by various other people but still no luck in getting beyond the hint of an opening screen. Any ideas? Thank you very much...as you probably can tell, I am not a "geek" but very interested in learning. So any help you can give would be most appreciated. Thanks again. Jadice
