I have a SONY VAIO GRX 550. 30.0 GB 4200 ATA drive. Is there anyway to check on the health of my drive to see if it needs to be replaced/upgraded in my computer or out free software? I'm at 10% free space on my C:drive. ANd I can't seem to get enough over to the D:drive where i can free up 15% on my C:drive to defrag.

Any direction, help, or assistance please would greatly be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. There is a sticky post at the top of this storage forum that has links to most hard drive manufacturers diagnostics programs. It is titled "HD Diags, Benchmarks, Warranty, and Other Important Info"
