Hey guys, i recently became aware that when using Bit Torrent ( not to download anything illegal) it is much faster if the port on which it is going through is open. with programs such as Azureus, but i have been unable to figure out how to open ports successfully. I use a D-Link wireless card to access an apple Airport Base Station. Could anybody please help me? Thankyou in advance.

first you can place your system that bittorrent is on in the dmz.

you can also take the port number and find "port fowarding" it will list some blank boxes to fill in. just place the ports you want to forward in there and then foward them to the ip that belongs to your system.
