have compaq pc with xp inbuilt,so don't have cd.some applications like games,mspaint etc are missing.is there any way i can recover them without restoring xp back to factory settings.

check under add/remove programs >windows components > accessories >games try to reinstall them that way (it will probably ask for the disk)
