Lotus WordPro won't print [RESOLVED]

When printing Lotus WordPro document, I received: "The instruction at "0x7c9106c3" referenced membory at "0x0083a5fe". The memory could not be "written." After running all the scans reommended by geekstogo, and removing "bingo" virus (sorry, I didn't save it), I now get this message when I try to print: "The instruction at 0x00404b6 referenced memory at 0x0000000000. The memory could not be "read".

It will usually print the first page before it fails. I can print the files from another computer on the network using the same printer, my local shared HP LaserJet 1300 (DOT port).

I have installed and reinstalled WordPro and tried different drivers (for PCL5e and PCL6). :tazz:

I do not see anything in your HiJackThis log that would cause the issues you described above. Infact this is one of the cleaner logs that I have ever seen. There is one fix for you to do.

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.

Abouve your printer, I would post in our Hardware forum, they might have an idea about what is going on.

I removed the line you suggested. Also, since I do not use AOL or McAfee, should I remove the lines related to those programs? or does it matter? Thanks.

Since I made the above change, the MSCONFIG dialog box opens every time I boot. I selected the box for normal start. Now when I try to open a window (such as "My Network Places", I get a statement such as the following:
"The instruction at 0x77c472c3 referenced memory at 0x01ac5000. The memory could not be written."
I clicked "cancel" to debug the program. I then got the following statement:
"The instruction at 0x7ca361bc referenced memory at 0x0000010. The memory could not be read."
I also got another box stating:
"Dr. Watson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I rebooted 3 times with similar results. I seem to have a worse problem than before. Can you help?

Hello,

Your HiJackThis log is Clean. I would not remove the lines relating to McAfee and AOL because they are programs that are a pain to remove.

If you believe the last fix made things worse, then we can use the backups that with HiJackThis.

Open HiJackThis
Click Config
Click on the Backups Tab
Click on the checkbox with the file that we deleted, it should look like the below:

7/26/2005 TIME : R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://bfc.myway.com...de_srchlft.html

Then click restore.

Reboot your computer.

I see no spyware or anythign that could affect your printer. Please post in our Hardware forum, where someone will be able to further assist you.

Everything is working fine now except my printer problem. I will take your advice and try the hardware forum. Thanks for taking the time with me.
