I managed to install MS-DOS 6.22 on a disk and then put in Windows 3.11 for Workgroups and found to my amazement that it supported the network card in this machine, D-Link tfe530tx+ and got it networked with some weird protocol. But I was wondering if there was some way to get on the Internet with it, TCP/IP protocol and some kind of browser maybe?

It'll take some digging, but yet, Win3.11 was able to access the Web. I don't know offhand any current browsers that'll support it, you can always Google it...

BTW... are you a masochist, or just like playing with obsolete stuff?

try the mosiac or the early releases of netscape, there are a few others that may work, slipknot or cello

hope this helps.
