Have you installed the latest drivers? You card is a bottle neck. A new card would give you much better performance with your system.

Yeah, I just didn't have the cash for a new card along with the rest of the stuff. I'm going to upgrade soon. Any ideas for a good card that would match the system but wouldn't cost too much??

There should be some good deals as we approach the holidays. Basically, get the best card your budget will allow. An ATI 9800PRO or XT800 would be good matches.

Here is a ATI Radeon 9800 PRO at Newegg.com and it is not a bad buy. The only thing that is wrong with it is that it only has 128MB of RAM. If you can spend the extra money and buy the 9800 PRO that has 256MB of RAM then get it if not just get the one that I link in here. One thing make sure that your Motherboard supports 8x AGP. Newegg.com is a great place to get PC Hardware from and shipping is fast.

I was wondering about the ATI X700 pro how would it compare to the 9800 pro? They are about the same price.

The X700 is very new. I only remember reading one review on it, and it was very positive. However, I have no first hand experience with this card, so I'd suggest researching further. Has it been relaeased yet?

I found one for sale at Newegg. The specs sound better than the 9800, but the price is about the same so it makes me wonder if it really is better. Here is the one I found at Newegg.

Thanks for the info. I'm kinda leaning towards the 9800 pro. I just saw that ATI has the trade up program, so I can rid myself of this old 9000 and get 50 bucks off of the 9800.
