PLS HELP ME.MY LAPTOP IS READING DVD BUT NOT ANY KIND OF CD.BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO USE THE BLANK DISC THAT I HAVE FOR COPYING AUDIO CD BUT NOW I CANT ANYMORE.THANKS!

What exactly happens when you put a blank CD in the drive?

WHEN I PUT THE BLANK CD THE DRIVE SHOWS LIGHT THAT WILL JUST GO OFF AFTER FEW SECONDS.AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS WHEN I PUT AN AUDIO CD.WHATEVER KIND OF CD EXCEPT DVD.I GOT MY LAPTOP A YEAR AGO FROM DIXONS.ITS A COMPAQ LAPTOP WITH MODEL NUMBER "PRESARIO 2100"THE OPERATING SYSTEM IS WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION.

Does any (error) message come up when you put in a CD? Does anything lock up, hang, etc..?
