[B] <_< Hi, I've been having a lot of problems with internet explorer script errors when I first get into my isp. These are a few of them:
Line 746
Char - 2
Error - object expected
Code - O
URL-http://homepeoplepc.com/app/bart_login.asp

The other lines are
727,729,and 744

How can I correct these?

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

First, get rid of NewDotNet. Go to Control Panel:Add/Remove Programs and remove it. If it is not there, go here and follow Procedure 4: http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html

Download Ad-aware from: http://www.geekstogo...n=download&id=5

Install the program and launch it.

First, in the main window, look in the bottom right corner and click on Check for updates now and download the latest reference files.

Next, we need to configure Ad-aware for a full scan.

-> Click on the Gear icon (second from the left) to access the preferences/settings window

1. In the General window make sure the following are selected:
  • Automatically save log-file
  • Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal
  • Safe Mode (always request confirmation)
2. Click on the Scanning button on the left and select :
  • Scan Within Archives
  • Scan Active Processes
  • Scan Registry
  • Deep Scan Registry
  • Scan my IE favorites for banned URLs
  • Scan my Hosts file
  • Under Click here to select drives + folders, choose:
  • All of your hard drives
-> Click on the Advanced button on the left and select:
  • Include additional process information
  • Include additional file information
  • Include environment information
  • Include additional object details
-> Click the Tweak button and select:
  • Under the Scanning Engine:
    • Unload recognized processes during scanning
    • Include basic Ad-aware settings in logfile
    • Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile
  • Under the Cleaning Engine:
    • Let Windows remove files in use at next reboot
-> Click on Proceed to save the settings.

-> Click Start and on the next screen choose Activate in-depth Scan at the bottom of the page and then choose:
  • Use Custom Scanning Options
-> Click Next and Ad-aware will scan your hard drive(s) with the options you have selected.

-> Save the log file when it asks and then click Finish

-> When finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose Select All from the drop down menu and click Next).

Please delete your temporary files by deleting all files and folders that are in those folders (do not delete the temp folder itself) like for example
C:\WINDOWS\Temp\
C:\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\
Also delete your Temporary Internet Files, be sure to also select delete all offline content.

-> Reboot your computer.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis (You are still using the old version - use 1.98.2) and post a fresh log in this same topic.

-> Reboot your computer.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis (You are still using the old version - use 1.98.2) and post a fresh log in this same topic.

<_< Hi, I downloaded Ad-Aware and tried to run a scan. It gets to a certain point and then I get an error message for Explorer saying that it performed an illegal operation and will shut down.

When I boot up Windows, now I get other error messages.

1. Imeshclient has performed an illegal operation

2. Application error
Exception EAccess Violation in module IMeshclient.exe at 0156669F
Access violation at address 0156769F
Read of Address FFFFFFFF

3. EasyClip
Unable to load Organizer AFl file: orgapi32.dll

I need some help on this one and soon.

Thanks, ferndoodle

O4 - Startup: iMesh.lnk = C:\Program Files\iMesh\Client\iMeshClient.exe

Oops sorry. Forgot the entry. Reboot and scan after you remove it.
