i've got a 2.4 ghz pent 4 ATI 9700 128 mb pro...with 1 gb ram....
it looks okay.. i got everything on medium pretty much....the view distance is one 85 perccent...it's that view that sucks power...BF2 is a graphics card hog...
502 mb? you should be able to run the game at least on low...i got bf2 on anoother pc a 1.3 ghz amd duron(lol it was a budget pice of ---) 512 mb RAM and an ATI 9600 128 mb pro......the game runs fine on evrythin low with geomitry on medium...i can probably crank up textures and a few more to medium if i play on 16 player maps or 32......

heh,
1. There are some decent 128mb cards like the 6600gt that are way better than some 256mb cards like the x300
2. He could be running a 3.8 Extreme editions EM64T proccesor for all we know
3.The only thing he said that may not work is his ram. But you can buy a 512MB DIMM for like $30 now.

My best guess would be no. Usually someone with a more powerful computer knows their specs and is more willing to share them with others. Although I may be wrong.
