Installing XP onto an internal/external hard drive

when the system is booting up there is a button to press, usually either f2 or del. it will say press f2(or delete) to enter setup...you press it then look for the section called boot order....make sure that the cd rom is first.

Ok, you can't install XP on an external because as of now PCs are not capable of booting through a USB device. Although MACs are able to....I think.

Also, make sure its a full XP disk and not an upgrade disk. I've seen that before.
