I guess I should ask, if you want me to stay online as long as I can, I'd like to know if there is a time range that I should do it on that would be better than the one that I'm in? thanks

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
O2 - BHO: CATLEvents Object - {870B70D4-F6DA-47AE-9158-D146440A0A4D} - C:\DOCUME~1\HERNAN~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\pipxe.dat
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [*expip] C:\WINDOWS\assembly\expip.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [*expip] C:\WINDOWS\assembly\expip.exe rerun

Please reboot into safe mode - How do I boot into "Safe" mode?.
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\assembly <- this folder

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin

Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

Hi, remember I trust you guys, but I'm very nervous about removing files. But I guess my computer can't be any worse than it already is. Well when I looked in my hidden files in WINDOWS there is a file folder that says assembly. I clicked on it to see what was under it and around 45 other names came up on it. It has a heading like GLOBAL ASSEMBLE NAME, TYPE, VERSION, PUBLIC KEY TOKEN, then under each title there were names. Some samples were:

Accessibility
cscompmgd
IEHost
System.configuration.Install
IEExecRemote

etc..... under TYPE some said Native Images is this what you want me to remove?? Also when i sign off for the night messages come up like DLL finalizing, program not responding exepip. end now. etc are all of these part of my problem. Can't wait to hear from you. <_<

:D Good Catch! Can't beleive I missed that. Nothing we couldn't have fixed, but you do not want to delete the entire assembly folder. <_<

Change:

Please reboot into safe mode - How do I boot into "Safe" mode?.
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\assembly <- this folder

I thinking the files are: HKLM/RUN (keyserv)C:Windows/Fonts/Keyserv.exe and also the one below it. did they rename themselves??? What next.

My adaware is not working either. Should I uninstall it and reinstall the adware you recommend? A friend of mine did that and it caught 26 potenital problems and one of them was malware> Let me know. Thanks again in advance.

I ran moosoft this morning and nothing was found. Also on housecalls. It tells me that there were no suitable plugins available. Should I remove adaware and reinstall? Should I send my hard drive somewhere to be fixed?????

Did you use internet explorer to run Housecall? If not, then that's the browser you have to use.

Spoton <_< You now recognise the bad lines as they change. We still need to get rid of these lines. Or whatever they are called now.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
O2 - BHO: CATLEvents Object - {ED5ABC42-8E4F-4C39-9972-F0CF619D672F} - C:\DOCUME~1\HERNAN~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\vrsyek.dat
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [*keysrv] C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\keysrv.exe

Please reboot into safe mode - How do I boot into "Safe" mode?.
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\keysrv.exe
