For the last week, I've had a virus notification come up at random- Clicker.FR , which AVG removes from C/WinNT/System 32/rdsndin.exe, then the notification of the virus comes back shortly thereafter. At one stage, on start-up, I got a notification the Windows Explorer could not be opened, and was being shut down. The computer would keep on with this notification rolls up every few seconds, without it starting up. My guru friend managed to get me back on screen again, but I've still got this Clicker FR coming up, along with what may or may not be a phoney notification in my Start up tray, that my computer is at risk, and my virus status is bad- Spyware activity detected and click on this screen to get protection. (I think not!). I also have Zone Alarm Firewall installed.

Also, neither Adaware, nor Spybot are able to scan any more- they stop after a few seconds. AnalyseThis does not show up anything on the auto-analysis, and CW Sredder shows nothing either.

Anyone any advice, other than a re-format?

Thanks,

Tosh
