Hi,

I have a 2 month old computer that has suddenly developed a problem.
Whenever I try to connect to the Internet, the system reboots. This was not a problem until last week, and I didn't do anything new.

I've read a lot of posts on the subject here, but nothing seems to solve my problem.

Error code is
BCCode=1000008e BCP1=C0000005 BCP2=BF9F5514 BCP3=EFEF7E30 BCP4=00000000

I've tested the RAM using prime95 and Memtest, I've installed SP2, I've reinstalled the Modem drivers.

I've scanned for viruses, ran AdAware, but there seems to be nothing wrong.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Pat

Do you have an XP installation CD? If so, consider a repair installation:

Probably not. <_< The CD key that came with your computer is for an OEM version, and won't work to activate a retail copy. Since it's only two months old, your best option may be to backup any data you've created, and perform a system restore using the OEM restore CD(s).
