So, I got an iPod, I have had it for less than a year now. Yesterday, I went to turn it on and nothing happened, so I plugged it into an outlet and the Apple Screen came on and it started to boot normally. The only odd thing was that the charging icon did not appear. So, I left it plugged in over night and the second I pull the power cord out it shuts down. I tried all the restarting crap and that did not help, and when I plug it into my PC nothing happens. I think the battery may have failed even though it was holding a 8 hour charge the week before. I worked the entire summer last year as a CAMP COUNSELOR in order to buy this thing and Im really pissed because it doesn't work.

it sounds like the battery failed...or a connection between the battery and the pod

Make sure you back up your songs. I had a friend return his and they sent him a completely different "refurbished" iPod.

I bought an iPod for my daughter from the US and it,s gone completely dead after 10mths. Contacted iPod in the states and they are quick to point out that they have a world wide waranty, but they wont repair or replace my daughters iPod.

Feel really ripped off. :tazz: ;) :)
