First of all, hello ^^

OK, as the topic title said, here are the problems:

1. A popup appears in the taskbar and says:

"Your computer might be at risk

. Your virus protection status is bad
. Spyware Activity Detected

Click this baloon to fix this problem."

When I do click on the balloon, a Microsoft Help-style document pops up and has topics like, "What is Spyware?", "Signs of spyware: Are you infected?", and "How to get rid of spyware". I think those are all on the Net because ZoneAlarm asks permission for it to connect.

2. Searches get redirected to [bleep] sites, abcsearch.com, battleon.com, once ebay.com, etc.

These redirections happen when I search in Google (it's the only search engine I use, so I'm not sure of others).

3. AVG Antivirus detects the following:

rdsndin.exe -> Trojan horse Clicker.FR
GetAccess.Class -> Trojan horse Java/ClassLoader
InsecureClassLoader.Class -> Virus identified Java/ByteVerify
Installer.Class -> Virus identified Java/ByteVerify
A0019522.exe -> Trojan horse Clicker.FR

4. Spybot S&D detected FindSpy.A.

Right now I'm using Firefox since I heard it's safer. Indeed, the redirections only happen in IE. But as for the taskbar popup, it always does >< Anyway, I still want to get IE disinfected... ^^;;

I also tried all the suggestions in the post to be read before posting a HiJackThis log. CWShredder, HouseCall, etc. I already had Ad-Aware, AVG, Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, and ZoneAlarm before I read that though. I recently installed Webroot Spy Sweeper and Spy Cleaner.

So...this is my HJT log...

Welcome to GTG.

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP, or Service Pack 4 if you are running Win2k. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
