Regedit Error

I recently had to semi reformat my pc (just system files) because of a virus. Now when i type regedit in my Run prompt i get a error saying.

This program has encountered an illegal operation.
Fault Location:17DF:006B
Interrupts in service: None.

Plz help.

if you have the cd go to run and type in sfc

Ok i did that, i let it scan it and it found setupx.dll was corrupted and it replaced that. But im still getting the same error when i try to run regedit.
