Started having trouble with Ntapi32D virus overwhelming my computer memory. Was'nt allowing me to do anything else due to "lack of memory available". Have run about 6-7 different virus scans out there and have eliminated lots of "bugs". Finally was able to get to the Ntapi32D virus with multiple attempts with good ol' Norton Antivirus. I deleted the infected file and thought everything was good. However, sometimes, for no related causes, the virus starts up again. Also, and I don't know if its related, but I keep getting error messages related to Internet explorer. Tells me I have a page fault while online. My computer also has trouble shutting down and restarting. I am by no means a computer smart person. please help. I am VERY close to putting my computer in the dumpster!! You are my last hope. My Hijackthis log follows. I also have scan just prior to this post with Ad-aware, cannot get critical windows critical updates to finish loading due to IE problems. Thank you. <_<

Wow, it's a wonder you computer still works -- numerous infections.

First, you have Rapid Blaster spyware. It requires a special tool to remove. Click Here download it to your desktop, and run. When finished you can delete the downloaded file from your desktop.

Reboot your PC and post a fresh log when finished.

Ran rapid Blaster like you instructed. Found 1 file which was a problem and deleted it. It was a program file called RBEnhance. Still have all of the same symptoms with my computer though. Here is a new log.

Well, I have done as instructed. There were many things to do. I deleted all the files requested from my Hijackthis log. The only file I could not find was "04 - HKCU\..\Run:[Wdp] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\upp.exe". It was not deleted. I then went to safe mode and was able to delete most the files you asked to delete. There were 6 files which were not listed and therefor unable to delete. They are, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\UVUSQZWC.DLL
" " \explorer32.exe
" " \upp.exe
" " \CAGMHKA.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\QUESTMOD.DLL
" " \realtime.exe
C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network <--folder
I then attempted to delete all of my temp files. I had a few hundred. The ones listed under C:\WINDOWS\Temp are all gone and sitting in my recycle bin. Recycle bin wont let me delete them by the way either. I wasnt able to find any files listed as C:\Temp\ or C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Local Settings\Temp\. Maybe they dont exist?? I rebooted the computer and changed my host file. I have 'nt had a chance to see how the system is running so far. Will update if past problems are reoccuring. Here's my current Hijackthis log. Thanks for all of your help so far, its much appreciated.

I have been using my computer for the past hour or so and I have not experienced any of the problems I was having before. Thank you very much for your help. I was very close to punting this machine out to the curb. I realize that I still may have some "bugs" in my system. I would like to get rid of those too. Thanks again for the help so far.

Ok, I was able to delete 3 of the files you listed from my hijackthis log. The other ones you listed were not there. I did run an ad-aware SE scan between your last set of instructions and todays. Maybe adaware picked out the other files for deletion and thats why they were not there? Went to safe mode and could not find the file you recommended to delete. I then ran a "housecall" scan and 2 Trojan viruses were found. I deleted them. My system seems to be working much better now. I only have one other problem. Everytime I restart or start my computer, while its in DOS mode doing whatever the computer does at that point, It freezes when its trying to "build DMI pool" or "verify DMI pool". Whats the DMI pool? I didnt see an bikini girls around. Is this something related to files I've deleted or virus/bugs in my computer. The only way I can get past it is to keep turning my computer on/off and about the 8th time it will work. Is it a hardware problem internally? Thanks for all of your help so far. I'm happy with results already. Here's a new hijackthis log.

Whats the DMI pool? I didnt see an bikini girls around.

<_< I liked that one!

Here's a good explanation of DMI Pool errors:
http://www.computerh...es/ch000474.htm

It's very unlikely that it's related to anything we've done. Usually, it can be solved by clearing the BIOS. Disconnect the power, remove the computer case, look for a battery on the motherboard (like shown below). Remove this battery for at least five minutes. Then replace the battery, and reconnect the power. Reboot and see if it worked. You'll need to reset the system time and date.

A typical motherboard battery:

OK, I did as instructed and was able to delete the file from hijackthis and from my hidden files while in safe mode. My system seems to be working great. No problems at all. Thanks for the info on the motherboard battery. I'll check it out. I am glad that I've been able to restore my computer. I've been given some advice by people as to how to avoid this mess better in the future. I know am using firefox for a different browser and firewall protection. Never had firewall before. I know thats bad. I am also switching to DSL service and am told that it filters more bad stuff than my dial up AOL. Is this stuff true, do you have ant other advice. Here is my log in the event there are more bugs. thank you.

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN <_<

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use) Click Here.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. :D
