Alright, so I've been trying pretty hard on this one but before I start unplugging things I wanted to run this by some other people. The problem is pretty simple. The system does not post. The hard drive goes, the cdrom spins, but no beep and no display. It doesn't do this every time however. If I let it sit witht he power supply turned off for 30 min + it will usually boot when I turn it on, but not always. Also, sometimes, not frequently, but sometiems, when turning it on, I get no post but the motherboard gives me a long beep, a pause, a long beep, a pause, and so forth. I'm runnign Award BIOS, can't remember the version number and I'm at work so can't check. Anyway, any ideas as to what exactly is wrong? I've already done some tests and ruled out heat as an issue.

Hi mrcrim, welcome to Geeks to Go! <_<

My first guess would be a bad power supply. Could also be bad motherboard, memory, CPU, or other hardware issue.
