Hi again.
I have a question. I have pretty much debugged my puter, but I have one lingering problem of sorts. Every once in a while, AVG will say it finds the Sasser.B Worm in my Norton\quarentine\Portal file, and when I try to scan just that folder with AVG, Norton's alarm goes off saying it finds the same durn thing in its own file ?? Why is it doing this?? All other scans find nothing. This is just the resident sheilds saying this...

Thanks,
Donna

Hi Donna,

You're doing more harm than good running two antivirus programs. They can cause conflicts and may not get along well.

That being said there should be an option to delete the guaranteed files in Norton. Try Reports -> View Quaranteed Items

Here's instrctions for the KillBox as discussed in live chat:
Click Here to download TheKillbox. Extract TheKillBox.exe from the zip file and double click it to open it up. In the 'Enter Full Path and Filename to Delete' box, copy and paste these entries one by one, clicking 'Find and Kill This File' after each one:

C:\filenames

Click 'Exit' when done.

Note: If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, download and run: http://www.javacools...ngfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again.
