My boyfriend downloaded a wallpaper off the internet and I think his computer now has a virus. Ads from www.odp.com keep coming up along with "winfixer" ads and also random programs keep popping up. I looked at the page and ran the programs we're told to and I restarted the computer. I no longer see winfixer ads but www.odp.com ads keep popping up. I ran Hijack this and this is the log:

Hi girlwithpen and Welcome to GeekstoGo!

Would you please upload these 2 files at the location specified

C:\WINDOWS\system32\fm2catq.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\vb3atson.exe

Please Upload them here
http://www.bleepingc...mit-malware.php

Leave a link to this post and put Attn:Cretemonster in the Message box!

Go to Add\Remove Programs and Remove these

Media Access
VirtualBouncer

Download Pocket KillBox from here:
http://www.bleepingc...les/killbox.php
There is a Direct Download and a description of what the Program does inside this link.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please download this file: Revised Installer for the Nailfix Utility
Save it to your desktop.
DO NOT run it yet.

Open Pocket Killbox and Copy&Paste each entry below into the "Full Path of File to Delete"

C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ttupt.exe
C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\exp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wintask.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\fm2catq.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vb3atson.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\AUNPS2.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\E6F1873B.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\D9EBC318C.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vidctrl
C:\Program Files\Media Access
C:\Program Files\VBouncer

Once each is pasted in-> place a tick by "Delete on Reboot"

Click the Red Circle with the White X in the Middle to Delete!

Click "Yes" to Confirm

Click "No" to Reboot

Once at the last file

Click "Yes" to Confirm

Click "Yes" to Reboot

If you get a PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process! message then just restart manually.

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)
Here is a link on how to boot into Safe Mode:
http://service1.syma...src=sec_doc_nam

Once in Safe Mode-> Run all those files through Killbox again, this time place a tick by any of these selections available

"Standard File Kill"
"End Explorer Shell while Killing File"
"Unregister .dll before Deleting"
"Deltree(Include Subdirectories)"

Click the Red Circle with the White X in the Middle to Delete!

Double-click on nailfix.exe

Click "Next" in the setup, then make sure "Run Nailfix" is checked and click "Finish"

Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Open HijackThis and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet!
