I'm on my pc typing this but my wife's pc was infected with the virsus
Gaelicum.A and I ran CWShredder,Ad-Aware,McAfee Antispyware and Virsus scan,
TDS-3,and Avenger free edition on her system and wiped and healed over 2,000
infected files afterward she rebooted and it has not worked since.

When trying to repair Win-XP from a disc I get this Message:

A Problem Has Been Detected and Windows Is Shuting down to prevent damage
to your computer

*Bad_PooL_Caller*

I have disabled caching and shadowing in the system bios as directed.

I cannot go into safe mode to try to uninstall anything. When I try
to log onto windows XP is asks for username/password which it has never
asked before,I just hit enter and leave it blank,it starts loading
personal setting,s shows me a black screen with the her backdrop, then it starts logging me off, saving personal setting,
and returns to the enter username/password screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Thank You for responding so fast and you're right that was not the whole error message but it was a full screen of writing with a blue background and I only had maybe 20 secs to read it. The thing is though I tried repairing windows like 5 times before asking for help on here which is a truly great site and when I tried to install it again so I could write down the entire error message for you the repair operation went thru. PC got a serious gremlin on it I got to hunt down :} Thank You Again!
