tryin to install scanner driver from deshtop keep getting cannot find shell dll
any suggestions on finding

Many infections target and delete this file. Attached is a copy you can download.

Unzip, and copy it to both c:\windows\system and c:\windows\system32.

YES...This topic was great and exactly fixed my problem...I was trying to uninstall some programs but kept getting the cannot find SHELL.DLL and was getting frustrated till I found this post...Thanks to you whoever posted this and the zip file.

Thanks to admin for posting shell dll.zip.

This worked out well for me. I had trouble installing, running and uninstalling some programs, particularly a couple of older ones. No further trouble after copying unzipped shell.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system and C:\WINDOWS\system32 and rebooting.
