Hi Hope this will be an easy one for someone. When I startup the computer it always stops and wants a password for microsoft networking Of which they have the user name as default and the password blank. I leave the password blank and click ok and it finishes booting up. This computer is using windows 98 se. I know that there is a way that you can skip that step and the computer will keep booting up if your not right there to click it. That's the way my other computer was. Thanks Bobber1

Howdy:

Right click on the Network Neighbourhood icon on your desktop and select "properties"..

Now, change the logon from "Client for Microsoft Networks" to "Windows Logon"..

Apply to save the change and okay out..

It will force you to reboot the system.. When the system starts, the logon window MAY show up once more.. If it does, just click "oaky".. Do NOT just "x" or close out..
