We had Sonic MyDVD preinstalled on this computer, there's MyDVD Slideshow shortcut on the desktop, every time I click it or try to open it in anyway, it instantly reboots the computer. We've had the computer since Feb. And it's always done this as far as I can remember. Don't think I'm infected w/ anything. Got the following: Norton Internet Security, MS Beta, Spybot S&D, Adaware, SpywareBlaster & Guard, IE-Spyad.

Anybody know what could cause this?

if it came preinstalled would go back to the pc makers website and see if they have any patches available for it. If not then i would look through your software and reinstall the application

I went to add/rem programs, clicked change, install, and still no luck!?! Thanks for your reply.

do you have any physical media for it?

No, everything was all preinstalled, it's a Compaq Presario.

if its still under warranty then contact hp and see if they can provide some assistance (remember hp purchased compaq).
