Though reliable and suitable to my needs, i would like to replace my processor. I have an AMD K6-2 running at 475 MHz. Are there faster processors the same (physical) size as this processor. i know knowing what motherboard type would help my query but im having a hard time decophering that one (lost the manual you see)

a cup of tea for the winner

Welcome mullamore <_<

The fastest K6-2 processor that will plug directly into your motherboard is 550mhz. To notice much of a difference in performance you really need to double the speed of your CPU. You're probably looking at a motherboard, CPU, memory upgrade.

P.S. You can probably identify your motherboard using AIDA32
