My sister's computer has died!! When the power is switched on at the mains it automatically tries to boot but the only action is a intermittant beeping sound, through the speakers, monitor doesn't register anything, she runs XP.
Any ideas?

What's the pattern of the beeps? (i.e. One long, followed by two short beeps -- repeating.)
