I have both W32.spybot.worm and Trojan.cachecachenet. I have tried Norton, Trojan hunter, No adaware and cannot get rid of them. This is my first time asking questions so I am not totally aware of all the procedures. Could not find similar subjects in my search and could not understand some of the subjects.

I hope there is a simple solution.

Thanks

Hi Stan and Welcome to GeekstoGo!

Lets start off Here

From the list of programs there, please get these

Ad Aware

CleanUp!

Ewido Security Suite

HijackThis!

Once Downloaded,Update and Configure Ad Aware and Ewido just as Described!

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)
Here is a link on how to boot into Safe Mode:
http://service1.syma...src=sec_doc_nam

Open and Run CleanUp!-> Click the Cleanup tab to start the scan-> Once complete-> Click "Close"-> Click "NO" to log off!

Now Open up Ad Aware and Scan the PC-> Remove anything it finds and Delete all Quaratine files!

Now,Scan the Entire System With Ewido-> Clean all it finds-> Make sure to Click the tab to Save a Report!

Run MSCONFIG and enable everything in the startup area. To get to MSCONFIG, click on Start -> Run -> type in MSCONFIG -> click OK!

Under the "General" Tab
Make Sure Normal Startup is Checked!!

Click Apply>>Close>>Follow the Prompts to Restart!!

Restart Normal and have the PC Scanned here:
Panda Active Scan

You will need to be using Internet Explorer for the Scan to work!

Save the Report it generates!

Now,Open up HijackThis and Scan the PC-> Save the log it produces!

Post back to this thread with the HijackThis log and the Reports from Panda and Ewido!
