Missing themes,desktop,appearance tabs in Display

Need help, ran adware, avg antivirus, and scanspyware. Removed all traces but know I'm missing tabs in display property(i.e. themes, desktop, and appearance tabs). Ran registry fix nothing. Can some please help. Also I can't get this screen off my desktop. Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Followed directions ran adware program, looks to have cleaned out the trouble.

I once lost all my theme tab goodies when I mistakenly lost my "themeui.dll", I had to go get "the patch", but it fixed the problem and I got my XP graphics back.

I'm Having the same problem as "The Ghost" my tabs happened to have dissappeared.

Download this registry tweak, and open it. (link).
Also, go the malware forum as ~Kat~ suggested in Post#2, as this problem is commanly caused by malware.
